At the 2013 Frankfurt Motor Show the audience had the chance to drool over the new diesel 3 Series from Alpina, dubbed D3 Biturbo. Since the company is German, you can probably figure out why it has that name.
The D3 uses a 3-liter bi-turbo diesel engine that creates 350 HP and 700 Nm (516 lb-ft) of torque and then sends them to the rear axle or all four wheels, depending on your personal choice.

With these new numbers, the car reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.6 seconds and has a top speed of 278 km/h (174 mph) whilst also keeping the fuel consumption in check, at around 5.3 l/100 km (44.3 mpg).

Being an Alpina creation, of course you'll get the full treatment and that includes Alpina Turbine wheels, the aerodynamic kit, all the posh interior trims and custom gauges too.

Prices start at EUR55,900 (USD76,000) for the sedan and you can also go for the Touring version in case you'd like to,starting at EUR57,700 (USD78,000). Both of them are available on Alpina's web configurator.
