Rumored to be unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show next month, the 2015 MINI Cooper 5-door was caught testing again by our spy photographers, this time with less camouflage on its body and in friendlier weather conditions.
As we’ve previously reported, the 5-door prototype appears to sport a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine under its hood, which means that the people in charge with testing the car have 192 hp and up to 300 Nm (221 lb-ft) of torque under at their disposal.
Designed to make the hardtop model more popular, the five-door MINI Cooper is aimed at families with more than two members who are looking for additional interior room in a compact vehicle.
Once it goes on sale, the 5-door Cooper is likely to be offered with 1.5-liter 3-cylinder petrol and diesel engines, as well as a 1.2-liter unit.
