Okotrend Gives BMW 730d the Award for the Most Sustainable Luxury Car
This year, in the luxury segment, the F01 730d 7 Series won the award for the most sustainable car, defeating Audi's A8 3.0TDI and Mercedes-Benz's S250 CDI. The 7er in the 730d version is equipped with a 6-cylinder in-line diesel engine with 242 HP and 540 Nm of torque. These numbers allow the car to achieve a combined fuel consumption of 5.6l/100km and 148g of CO2 emissions per kilometer, remarkable numbers for a car in this class.
Another award was handed out to the BMW X1 sDrive20d EfficientDynamics for being number one in its class for sustainability. The EfficientDynamics version of the X1 has a revised 2.0-liter diesel engine with 163 HP and 380 Nm of torque. The fuel consumption is set at 4.5 l/100 km with CO2 emissions of 119 g/km.
Other fuel consumption improving element have been added to the X1 EfficientDynamics version. The Bimmer has energy saving tires, active ventilation flaps and a start/stop system.
Another 2 BMWs won awards, but not first place ones: The BMW 320d EDE and the BMW 116d EDE won second and third place in their respective categories. Congrats!
