MINI Presents the 2013 Kitesurf Tour Europe

Back in 2012, MINI was picked as the official partner of the Kitesurf Tour in Europe and this year the venture will continue. Being one of the fastest-growing trend sports in 2012, the BMW-owned company plans to continue the successful joint-endeavor and provide contestants with the best possible support.

Also, MINI was the first car maker to support a new sport, at such a big scale. The MINI Kitesurf Tour Europe 2013 is the official European kitesurfing championship and will showcase outstanding surfers in the Freestyle and Racing disciplines.

The competition will have four stages and the first one will kick off on May 30, in the South of France, more specifically, in Almanarre Bay, one of France's most popular spots for wind and kite surfing.

“Individualism, sportiness and power are qualities shared by MINI and kitesurfers alike. Our sponsorship of the Kitesurf Tour Europe ideally complements our passionate commitment to young, creative sporting disciplines,” said Dr Kay Segler, Senior Vice President MINI Business Coordination and Brand Management, of the partnership.
