MINI Cooper S Paceman Review by Carbuyer [Video]
The Carbuyer crew reviewed what the Paceman has to offer to divert customers from the Range and they found plenty. First up, the car they tested was a Cooper S version.
That means it was fitted with the 184 HP tuned 1.6-liter turbocharged engine, hooked up to a manual gearbox. In this configuration, the hatchback does 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 7.5 seconds whilst also returning an average fuel consumption of 38.6 mpg (6.1 l/100km).
The interior is done in the classic MINI and BMW fashion with high quality materials and a high attention to detail. The rear seats will accommodate only 2 people because of the central console but each will have plenty of space back there.
The car is practical, as passes every practicality test they usually have over at Carbuyer (like the glove compartment glass of water test and some more) and it is a lot of fun to drive, especially with the dedicated apps installed.
Overall, the Paceman looks like a bargain when compared to the Evoque and it's well worth the money if you're in the market for such a car.
