LCI BMW 550i Goes on Sale in Australia, AUD20,000 Cheaper
The 2014 model will hit the Australian market AUD20,000 cheaper than its predecessor that started at AUD159,900. Furthermore, the N63 4.4-liter V8 engine was upgraded and now develops 550 HP and 650 Nm (480 lb-ft) of torque.
Excepting the ActiveHybrid5 model, all the other models will be a bit more expensive than their predecessors, price increases varying between AUD400 and AUD8,255.
Entry level models, the 520i and 520d are joined in the line-up by the 528i, 535i and 535d. Standard equipment includes bi-xenon headlights, LED fog lights, cruise control with braking function, rear-view camera, parking sensors, leather upholstery, 12-speaker audio system and the iDrive touch controller with internet functionality.
