Since this year the Goodwood Festival of Speed is celebrating its 20th edition, BMW decided to honor the event with some of its rarest cars and concepts. In addition to the BMW M1 Procar and the Brabham BMW BT52 Formula 1 car, the Bavarian company also brought along the amazing Gran Lusso Coupe Concept.
First unveiled at the Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the car designed in collaboration with Pininfarina has a powerful appearance everywhere it goes. The long bonnet and aggressive character lines on the sides make it a dashing appearance everywhere.
Recent rumors link this car to the revival of the beloved 8 Series and they might as well be true. After all, post retiring the 8er, no car or concept built by the German company didn’t come as close to the original as the Gran Lusso Coupe.
Initially thought to be a preview of the upcoming 7 Series, the Gran Lusso is now more and more linked to something the whole BMW community (and the entire automotive community as a matter of fact) is most anxious to see: the 8 Series brought back. Keep your fingers crossed!
