BMW i3 Review by Car and Driver
This time it's Car and Driver that published their opinion on the matter at hand. First off we have to understand how the i3 is built. The all-electric car was designed as an EV from the ground up.
That's why it is divided in two 'sections' or Modules as BMW calls them. First up you have the Drive Module, made entirely out of aluminum and housing the electric motor and batteries. Second, you have the Life Module that is everything else and is made out of carbon fibre, reinforced plastic and CFRP, a combination of the two.
Unlike every other BMW, the i3 is a tall, and you might think it's not that agile at first but take it for a drive and you'll soon notice that this car is exactly as an electric BMW is supposed to be.
Just accelerate and you'll immediately know that, if you really want it to, this car is pretty quick and nimble, light on its feet and way better than anything Nissan and Chevy can throw at it.
