BMW i3 Home Charging Explained

Don't know about you but I'm actually excited about the i3. Some people say that the range of the car isn't enough, some are scared about the safety features because it's made out of CFRP and some say it's plain ugly.

No matter what people say, I'd love to own a car that doesn't need filling up, a car that doesn't require a weekly visit to the petrol station. So what if you have to charge it once a day? Let's face it, our smartphones are charged a couple of times a day and that doesn't make us long for a Nokia 3310.

Sure, it might take a while but from a practical point of view, that time could be spent whilst you're at work, or sleeping at home. After all, the i3 was designed specifically for city usage, for your daily commutes to work and back and to reduce the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere.

In order to address some of these concerns, BMW published a series of useful clips on their BMWi Youtube channel, explaining just how simple it is to charge the i3. In case you really care about the environment, special charging stations using renewable energy can be installed at your home, reducing your gas and electricity bill to zero. Doesn't that sound good?
