Now that we know the numbers for October, we can get a grip on how BMW Brand vehicles sold in the 10th month of the year, compared to the slight 2.9 percent increase of the BMW Group's sales.
It seems like, overall, the BMW Brand cars performed better, reaching a growth of 4.2 percent compared to the same month of 2012. A total of 27,574 units were sold, compared to the 26,451 recorded in 2012.
Overall, year-to-date, BMW brand vehicles are up 12.8 percent on sales reaching a total of 240,139 units whereas in 2012's first ten months 212,848 units were sold.
The top selling models included the X1 with an increase in demand of 60.4 percent, followed by the 3 Series and 4 Series, both leading their respective segments and growing by 20.4 percent. Last, but not least, the 6 Series sales grew by 19.6 percent whilst the 5 Series grew by 18.7 percent.
As for the preowned vehicles, in October 15,502 vehicles were sold, up 23.4 percent from last year, when only 12,563 units left the BMW certified parking lots. Over the course of the year, the combined growth reached 9.2 percent.
