If you were watching the automotive press these days, you surely noticed that BMW held a press conference in Portugal this week, launching the M Performance Parts for the 4er. With this occasion some journalists got to take a quick drive in the new Coupe.
Edmunds were amongst the first to even publish their thoughts. Let's see what they had to say. First up, the exterior looks will charm you. The new car is wider and lower than the one that is replacing.
On the inside you'll feel like you're inside a classic 3 Series with some new features, just as it should. It feels comfortable and familiar and it won't take you long to get used to it. Thanks to BMW's Individual program you can actually choose almost everything inside your car and how to look like.
The car they had was a 435i, of course. The engine feels all familiar and so does the gearbox. However, the chassis is where this car shines. It was worked almost to perfection.
The wider track will make you think you're on rails when you enter a corner at high speeds and the lowered center of gravity and seating position will make you think you're going to hit the road with your bum.
You'll be choosing out of 5 driving modes for this car, those being Eco Pro+, Eco Pro, Comfort, Sport and Sport+. However, they are actually divided in two: the first 3 will be comfortable, whilst the last 2 will feel almost the same, this being almost the only downside of the 4er that they could find.
