2013 BMW E93 M3 Lime Rock Edition Review [Photo Gallery]
In the recent years, one of the most popular such cars was the BMW M3 Lime Rock Park Edition, a car that is perfect for anyone that wants to spend not just minutes on a track, but actual days.
The guys from autoblog, took it for a spin, as a goodbye to the M3 Coupe and its limited edition variants. The unmistakable Fire Orange paint job and the gloss black rims of the LRP M3 immediately make your heart skip a beat.
Furthermore, once inside you'll get to drive it and that means your heart will work overtime. The fact that this car is actually a Competition Package M3 should say it all. It has a lowered suspension, a variable EDC system, super-sticky Pirelli tires and many more options.
The thing about the M3 is that, no matter how hardcore it sounds like on paper, when you're driving it and turn the EDC system in Comfort mode, you'll think you're in a 7 Series, if you ignore the carbon fibre bits inside the cabin and the exhaust noise.
The S65 engine is majestic, as we already knew, and its high-revving character, combined with the titanium exhaust will let everyone in a 1 mile radius you're driving a LRP M3. Combined with the fast-changing DCT gearbox, this car will rocket forward anytime you want it too. At low speeds though, it's a bit jerky.
It's a great car that will provide every bit of thrill you need, when you need it. No matter what other people say, this is and will be the last naturally aspirated engine on an M car, and the LRP M3 is the perfect way to say goodbye.
