We have to give it up to Carscoops, the guys who found it in the first place and declared themselves quite intrigued by the 'new model'. The car is based on the 1600 chassis but the extent of the changes makes it more of an El Camino style vehicle.
Initially fitted with a 1.6-liter engine (hence the name), the new owner decided this car deserved a bit more power and swapped the 4-pot with a 6-cylinder 2.5-liter engine, with probably more horsepower too.
The transmission was also upgraded and now features a limited slip differential at the back, whilst Jaguar brakes, bucket seats and a roll bar make sure you don't end up at the local morgue.
The most interesting thing about this car is the bed at the back. It really looks well made and made with quality materials. We're sure that anyone that owns this baby, won't load it with construction materials though.
